My first photograph will be of a Fedora with a Toy gun’s muzzle underneath the hat propping it up, with a pocket watch with its chain snaking out behind it on a table. The way I would set up my camera is to have it on a tripod that is a bit taller than the table so it is at a 45 degree angle looking down at the scene that is set out on the table. The lighting will be a single light that will hang above the scene out of frame illuminating the objects but making the edge of the scene dark. Because the first three shots will be taken in the same location with similar lighting for each one, I am proposing settings of aperture 5.6, shutter speed 250, and ISO 400.
My second picture will be of a decanter with tea in it representing whisky with a pair of glasses and an ash tray with a rolled up piece of paper with an incense stick in it to represent a cigarette being put out in the ash tray. The way the camera will be set up on a tripod would be a little bit higher than the table at a small angle so you can see the height of the scene. The lighting will be coming from the left side with a cookie going over the light to form a shutter like effect almost like the sun is shining through a window. I am proposing settings of aperture 5.6, shutter speed 250, and ISO of 800 because I will be using something similar to a cookie leaving a little less light getting through.
The third picture will be of the shoulders upward of a man wearing a trench coat/ over coat/ mackintosh with its collar turned up and wearing a fedora with his head turned to the side a bit. The way the camera will be set up is it being on a tripod at the height of the models shoulders so it has the shoulders upwards. The lighting will come from behind the man so it illuminates behind him, and another light coming from the left side to illuminate the left side of his face and hopefully keep the right side in the shadows. I am proposing settings of aperture 5.6, shutter speed 250, and ISO 400.
The fourth Picture will be taken outside in a little alleyway with a person standing at its end . The camera will be set on the other end of the alley on a tripod looking straight at the model on the other side of the alley. The lighting will be very dark because it will be taken at the night so I will have a light directly behind the model so it makes a silhouette of the model. I am proposing the setting of aperture 5.6, shutter speed 125, and ISO 800-1600 in an attempt to make it moody and grainy.
